Len Sassaman Emerges as Top Candidate for Satoshi Nakamoto Identity
Sassaman was a significant figure in the cypherpunk community, contributing to various cryptography projects, which has fueled speculation that he may have been behind the creation of Bitcoin. Other prominent figures linked to Nakamoto’s identity include Hal Finney, who was among the earliest Bitcoin adopters before his death in 2014, and computer scientist Nick Szabo. Blockstream CEO Adam Back and systems engineer Dorian Nakamoto are also considered possible candidates, while a small number of voters believe it could be a group of individuals rather than a single person.
